Does Seminars for Health provide student discounts?

Seminars for Health is offering massage students an amazing 20% discount off of the current listed price of courses, effective up to 6 months after graduation. Students who would like to enroll and receive this discount can register online, a discount code is required. To receive a discount code, please email us proof of enrolment or graduation to info@seminarsforhealth.ca . It can be anything from a picture of your course registration confirmation or a dated letter of confirmation from your school or your diploma. Proof of enrollment is required. No double discounts. Student discount is effective starting Nov. 1, 2016.  Discounts will not be applied for courses that have already been taken.

How do I pay by e-Transfer?

Sign in to your online banking.
Enter Seminars for Health as the requested recipient name.

Can I pay by cheque?

First register yourself in the course online and select “Other” as your You can write a cheque to Seminars for Health and mail it to the following address: 76 Discovery Ridge Court SW, Calgary, AB, T3H 4R3. Your registration will be confirmed once payment is received.

Can I make a deposit for a class?

Deposits are accepted for classes priced above $450.  The remaining amount is due 10-days prior to the class start date. Failure to pay the full and final payment 10-days prior to the class start date will result in losing both the deposit payment and the reserved seat within the course. Deposits are subject to the Cancellation Policy. Please refer to the Cancellation Policy below.

Cancellation Policy:

Participants who withdraw from a course are entitled to a full refund less a $50 administration fee, up to 21 days prior to the course start date. If you transfer to a future course, the $50 administrative fee will be waived.

Transfers are accepted ONLY:

1) Prior to 21 days of the withdrawal course start date.

2) If the course you are withdrawing from has not sold out.

No refunds or transfers, under any circumstances, will be made past 21 days prior to the course start date.

Will I receive continuing education credits with my association?

Yes. The massage therapy related courses will give you continuing education credits with the NHPC, RMTA, CMTBC, MTAA, MTAS, CRMTA, NCBTMB and soon MTAM. Please see course calendar for details.  If you indicate that you are a member of RMTA, CRMTA or MTAA upon registration, we will submit your certificate of completion to your association for credits on your behalf.  We have an agreement with these associations that we can direct-submit certificates for their members as a service to you.

What cities do you teach your seminars in?

At present, our seminars are held in Calgary, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Red Deer and Toronto, Ontario.  We are working on offering our courses to the US and New Zealand. Previously we taught in Lethbridge and Florida.

Will I need to supply a massage table?

Depending on the facility, you may or not need to bring a massage table. However, you need to bring massage oil, a large and small towel and a pillow. Please see each individual course for details.

Will I received a certificate after the course?

Yes, Seminars for Health will issue certificates for all participants who completed the course.

Is Seminars for Health a registered massage school?

No, we are not a registered massage school. Although, we offer training, upgrading in continuing education for practicing massage therapists and other health care practitioners.

I have already learned how to cup and would like to expand on my knowledge. Should I take Dynamic Cupping and Massage or Dynamic Cupping Joint Decompression?

Both courses provide an abundance of hands-on practical techniques. The Dynamic Cupping and Massage is the foundation course, providing therapists with knowledge of safeties, precautions and contraindications; Joint Decompression will only review this content. In the Joint Decompression course, therapists will learn new advanced techniques not taught in Dynamic Cupping and Massage, conducted in a side-lying position. If you feel comfortable with providing a full body cupping treatment that blends in with your massage, then this Dynamic Cupping Joint Decompression course would elevate your cupping massage practice.

I have taken Dynamic Cupping and Massage. How can I purchase more cups?
